Advancing technology for humanity, from Chennai to the world
IEEE Madras Section is an association of technical professionals in Tamil Nadu who have volunteered themselves in providing technology enhancement in engineering disciplines through conferences, events, and technical activities.
The Section attained full status on 28th April 1978 and has since grown into one of the most active Sections within IEEE Region 10 - home to student branches, technical chapters, and a professional community that keeps growing every year.
Our journey
Activities across the Section
Learning directly from the people building the future
Throughout the year, the Section hosts distinguished lecturers, industry leaders, and researchers who share hands-on expertise with our student branches and professional chapters - keeping the community close to the edge of what's next.
“Every session leaves our student branches with something they can build with the same week.”
