Section Entrepreneurship Initiative 
is partnering with Startup Grind Chennai to host Kumar Vembhu (Founder, Go Frugal | Former President & COO, Zoho) for a session at IIT Madras Research Park on June 24th 2016.

The collaboration is an initiative of IEEE Madras Section Entrepreneurship & Innovation Initiative.

About Startup Grind:

Startup Grind is a global startup community educating, inspiring, and connecting entrepreneurs. They host monthly events in more than 150 cities and 65 countries featuring successful local founders, innovators, educators and investors who share personal stories and lessons learned on the road to building great companies. Startup Grind Chennai was started around 18 months back, and has built a community of over 600 members. They have monthly / once in two-month talks with renowned entrepreneurs and investors to discuss both their experiences and journey’s as entrepreneurs, as well as their take on the current startup eco system in Chennai, their advice to entrepreneurs starting out, etc. They have hosted people such as Naru (Angel Investor), Suresh Kalpathi (AGS, SSI, Angel Investor), Chitra Ravi (EZ Vidya), Raghu (Taxiforsure), Murugavel Janakiraman (Bharatmatrimony), among our speaker line-up in the past. About Kumar Vembhu

Kumar  Vembhu  (Founder,  Zoho  &  Go  Frugal)  started  Vembhu  Systems  with  his  brothers  which  was  later  renamed  to  Zoho  –  they  scaled  Zoho  to  a  global  giant  without  any  external  funding.  In  2004,  he  stepped  down  as  President  and  COO  of  Zoho  and  started  Go  Frugal.  His  new  venture  is  an  innovative  standpoint  of  sale  solution  for  all  retail  shops  and  restaurant  businesses  and  has  over  25,000  active  clients.  He  scaled  this  venture  from  scratch  again  without  any  funding.  Previously  he  worked  for  HCL  and  Qualcomm  for  a  total  of  three  years.
